G Rated: Who Are We?

We are a Tulsa Community Theater group founded by Allicia Johnson. Our purpose is to provide acting opportunities to the Tulsa Urban Community. Although, there are other community theaters in Tulsa, many of them do not offer many opportunities for African Americans. If blacks are casted, it is more for the supporting role, rather than the lead. In the mid seventies, Theater North was formed as the only venue to for most black actors to show their talents. G Rated Theater continues that tradition by ADDING MORE ORIGINALLY WRITTEN WORKS, GOOD QUALITY PRODUCTIONS,  and outstanding membership opportunities for talented actorsto become the leading lady or man.
